The first flower was just about to bloom in the Insanity Garden and all the plants were excited to show off their beauty to the world and spread happiness this bright morning. When the first flower blooms in the forests, it’s a ritual for all birds to chirp, insects to buzz loudly, and other living beings to rejoice at the moment. Every member of the Insanity Garden was excited to see the first flower bloom.
Members of the Insanity Garden were very excited. Awaiting for the blooming flower to swarm away the wilderness of the Insanity Garden.
Most excited of all the members today was the plant that was giving birth to the budding flower. All the attention was going to be on them.
The plant had been waiting for an entire season for this day.
But none of them was aware that something surprising was about to happen.
A man walked into the garden. He was wearing rugged clothes and had something hung on his back that made a clinking sound while he moved through the garden. Humming a song in a very low voice that barely could be heard by anybody else.
While he walked through the garden, it seemed like the man was looking around for a specific place or thing. Then he stopped.
He put his bag down and reached into it. All the birds and insects curiously gazed upon what the man was doing.
From his bag, the man took out a pair of scissors that had long, thin, and sharp blades. He then sat down, with the scissors he chopped down the bud that was about to bloom. He continued to chop everything else.
The entire insanity garden was dead silent. The members mourned. The plants consoled their friend who had lost their bud. It was not the day the Insanity Garden would get their first flower to bloom, and it was unsure if they would get one soon.
Meanwhile the man kept humming the song and there was a smile on his face when he looked around at the garden he had sharpened.
The Insane Gardener
Man is a gardener who thinks it is his job to give a sharp shape to nature in order to make it look beautiful.
So, he takes his scissors and chops every extra leaf till the plant looks like a sharp box. Oblivious to the fact that nature is beautiful in its true form.
By trying to force his idea of beauty on nature, man destroys the real beauty. When he realises that he had changed the nature around him, it’s too late to revive the lost world.
Though it’s another debate whether the man-made garden looks more beautiful or the nature’s garden. What do you think?
